This Jasmine drawing is part of a series documenting my slow-burn love affair with Southern California. I have a wall of Star Jasmine in my backyard, and in the months of May and June, the sight and aroma of those perfect white flowers take center stage. It has become my absolute favorite scent and, slowly, is starting to smell like home.

This pattern is the closest I could come to surrounding myself in blooming jasmine year-round. The paper is NOT scratch and sniff but, truly, it may as well be.
